BACKGROUND INFORMATION
A collaboration between Maurizio Cattelan, Pierpaolo Ferrari, and the Italian design house Seletti yielded truly extraordinary art objects. Seletti Wears TOILETPAPER is an unusual collection of unique pieces, almost as if someone dipped black humor in pastel paints.

The images are from the magazine TOILETPAPER, which Cattelan and Ferrari founded in 2010. TOILETPAPER infuses the visual language of advertising with a touch of surrealism. “Pierpaolo and I work like sadistic scientists,” says Maruizio Cattelan about their collaborative creative process. “Everything around us can be infected with the TOILETPAPER virus. We are constantly conducting tests and analyzing the results, establishing TOILETPAPER as its own style that goes beyond pure photography.”
